In those movies when this scene comes up I never understood why they didn't just shoot.
Are we supposed to believe that:
1- A person can react fast enough, once a shot is fired, to also press the trigger?
2- The person who is shot isn't knocked back from the blow and they can live long enough to also press the trigger?
Hopefully I'm never in a stand off to find out heh.
